  • What is Mirabilia?


    Mirabilia is the Special Project organized by 21 Chambers of Commerce and Unioncamere, with the technical-scientific support of Isnart, to connect and enhance areas that share significant historical, cultural and environmental importance, as well as characterized by the presence of UNESCO World Heritage sites.


    A partnership with the aim to create an interaction between institutional and economic actors and between governance models underlying local development policies, to which the Chambers of Commerce and all the structures of the chamber system can join.



    Fields of activities

    Sustainable tourism

    The Mirabilia Network was one of the signatories of the Glasgow Declaration which aims to reduce pollution sources. This confirms the commitment to 360-degree sustainability, through the dissemination of culture, policies, technologies and practices that can cope with events such as market volatility, social conflicts and extreme weather events.

    Education and training

    Mirabilia organizes educational tours focused on promoting local artistic craftsmanship, promotes the Master in Cultural Heritage Management for tourism development with the University of Perugia, and the Tourism Lab Academy, a training program organized by Isnart and Universitas Mercatorum to ensure the professional skills of tourism businesses and Chamber of Commerce staff are updated and improved.

    Technology promotion

    The Mirabilia Special Project adopts advanced technologies to promote accessibility and enjoyment of cultural sites. This includes the development of technological applications and thematic tourist routes. Moreover, the union between Mirabilia and PID, Punto Impresa Digitale, has given rise to the “Top of the PID Mirabilia” award, in which innovative projects in the field of tourism are awarded.

    Mirabilia Special Project works for the internationalization of cultural tourism.


    European cooperation

    The association develops agreements with European chambers to promote transnational cooperation. This includes exchanges of joint programs and projects to enhance cultural heritage.

    Expansion of the Mirabilia Model

    Mirabilia’s innovative approach has also been recognized in other European countries such as France, Croatia and Greece, where initiatives to develop similar models are underway.

    International events and conferences

    Mirabilia actively participates in events and conferences throughout Europe, promoting dialogue and international collaboration in the field of cultural tourism.

    The protagonists of the Mirabilia Network: the Chambers of Commerce

    Many territories, representing 21 geographical areas unique in their kind, with their characteristics and peculiarities, which constitute cultural excellence, food and wine, craft and technological innovation. 


    Our actions aim to establish a European Mirabilia network of Unesco sites, to create a network between the Chamber of Commerce and to make known the territories and accommodation facilities of the participating province.

    Olive Oil Tourism

    Olive Oil Tourism is one of the new frontiers of food and wine tourism, an important growth opportunity for the country and the entire olive sector.

    Mirabilia Day

    Mirabilia Day promotes the mission of the association through a series of events that take place in the different territories of the Network.

    Top of the PID Award

    With the collaboration between the national network of the PID and the association Mirabilia, innovative projects in the field of tourism are awarded.

    International Cultural Tourism Exchange

    With over 3 thousand meetings between buyers and sellers of food and tourism field, the presence of more than 94 Italian sellers and more than 58 international buyers.

    Education

    Master in Management of the Cultural Heritage for Tourism Development
    The aim is to train a new professional who is able to build asset management strategies.
