The landscape of the Cinque Terre and Porto Venere, together with the islands Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto, is a succession of emotions, which has been able to enchant poets and illustrious visitors with its beauty. The confirmation of this charm came officially in 1997 when the Cinque Terre was included in the list of World Heritage Sites. The Committee has registered the site Porto Venere, Cinque Terre and the Islands (Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto) as a cultural place of exceptional value, which illustrates a traditional way of life that has existed for more than a thousand years and continues to play an important socio-economic role in community life.
