Historical Theatres of the Marche

The historical theaters of the Marches constitute a unitary whole, a phenomenon almost unique for their number and uniformity of diffusion about a limited territorial context making it a “serial site”. Although the theaters  as a whole bear witness, to a precise historical and social context, they are the expression and heart of a community, not only places of entertainment but, more generally, for activities, meetings and relationships capable of promoting other cultural interests, social and civil.
