Molise Chamber of Commerce

Molise is a land rich in extraordinary unspoilt landscapes, with a variety of coasts and mountains accompanied by fascinating and changing colors. The MAB Alto Molise Montedimezzo Reserve was established in 1977 and is located in the municipality of Vastogirardi (Isernia), enclosing two very large forests in a sub-mountainous area, with peaks above 1200 meters above sea level. It covers about 300 hectares and is among the biosphere reserves that UNESCO has recognized within the MAB project (Man and the Biosphere Program). As well as being important for the conservation of biodiversity, it is ideal for educating young generations to respect nature.
